In class you'll speak dialogues, view videos, read and converse in Scottish Gaelic,
all in a spirited and playful learning environment that helps you learn
the specifics of Scottish Gaelic pronunciation and conversation.
The class text is the Scottish Gaelic-English/English-Scottish Gaelic Dictionary by Renton and MacDonald, published by Hippocrene Books, $8.95. The text can be found at most major bookstores.

You may also pay us a visit at our informational booth at the massive Scottish Gathering and Games, held in Pleasanton each year on Labor Day weekend.
The classes are taught by Tris King (Toirstean MacRobainn),
director of The Scottish Gaelic Learners Association of the Bay Area.
Tris is an experienced drama instructor, a California
credentialed teacher, and a six-year
learner of the Scottish Gaelic language.
Come join our classes for beginners to
Scottish Gaelic, offered by the Scottish Gaelic Learners Association
of the Bay Area! Have fun and learn this fascinating Celtic language
that is spoken by hundreds of thousands of people today in Scotland and other parts of the world.
An ongoing class in Walnut Creek is offered for beginners on
Thursday evenings, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Some previous experience with Scottish Gaelic is preferred.
The fee for each eight-week block of the class is $75.
An ongoing class in San Jose is offered for beginners on Sunday afternoons, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Some previous experience with Scottish Gaelic is preferred.
The fee for each eight-week block of the San Jose class is $90.
A new beginners class for people with no experience in Scottish Gaelic is scheduled to start
Tuesday evenings, from 7 to 9 p.m., beginning
September 10, 2002, in Walnut Creek.
