Scottish Gaelic Class/Study Group
held in the Gold Country (Auburn, California)

A Scottish Gaelic class and study group is meeting every two weeks in Auburn, CA.

The study group meets at a home in Auburn every two weeks. Once per month, Donnie MacDonald, native Gaelic speaker from Lewis, attends and gives a lesson. The group is open to learners of all levels, and newcomers to Scottish Gaelic are especially encouraged to attend.

Donnie MacDonald, in addition to being a Scot and native Scottish Gaelic speaker, is a well-known musical performer and recording artist, and regularly tours the U.S., performing, and giving workshops on the Scottish Gaelic language.

Auburn is a city located in the Gold Country of Northern California, northeast of Sacramento.

There are currently 10 to 12 members in the class, coming from as far as Reno, Nevada.
